The FIRST Program held their annual Marty’s Bubblegum Machine Party in June at The United Methodist Church in Emlenton. This a free event for families located in Clarion, Armstrong, Venango, and Butler counties. The FIRST Program invited Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission to set up an information table with awareness materials, and present on medication safety to all the attendees. Elizabeth Sawyer from AICDAC instructed the presentation explaining the difference between over-the-counter and prescription medications, proper dosage instructions, reading a label, misuse of medications, safe storage and disposal, and how youth should only take medicine from a trusted adult.
